David Redden, Vice Chairman of Sotheby's auction house, holds the British Guiana One-Cent Black on Magenta stamp in central London. The sole surviving one-cent of the entire 1856 issue was rediscovered by a 12-year-old Scottish boy living in South America in 1873. It is estimated to fetch between $10-20 million, which would mark a new world auction record for a stamp when will be offered in a New York sale on June, 17, 2014.
